Technical Writer - Appleton

Our client is in Appleton, WI and is looking for an experienced Technical Writer. The client is having some compliance issues with Sarbanes Oxley which needs to be fixed. The candidate doesn't need to have SOX experience but it would be a HUGE plus! There is going to be 1 to 2 phone screen interviews and the candidate needs to provide writing examples to the client.
The candidate needs to have excellent MS Office skills, communication skills and have the ability to be self-sufficient. The consultant will be sitting in on several meeting with full time employees taking notes. From these meetings the consultant will then create documents from the meeting notes.
This project is to last at a minimum of 3 months with a good chance of going longer, but no guarantees. There is a possibility the person could be offered a permanent job down the road as well. But this isn't currently approved to go permanent yet.

The Technical Writer writes and edits technical documentation, including user manuals, quick start guides, online help files, readme files, and white papers. Researches and analyzes various technologies and usability of applications. Coordinates technical reviews, production, and distribution of technical documentation and completes other writing and editing projects as needed.
